Now the Nintendo Switch version of .hack//G.U. Last Recode release is near, CyberConnect2 gives us a major new content for .hack series which is a Web Comic series titled .hack//G.U. Begins, it is written by Masayuki Sano (.hack//Link, .hack//Bullet, .hack//Versus, & Thanatos Report) and illustrated by Itsuki Hoshino. A brand-new types of prequel series to G.U. storyline, which set on three timeline events that are prior to the game event, such as, SIGN, .hack// and Roots, each of this stories of the past is told within the player's behind Haseo, Ryou Misaki's perspective about the past, or something else entirely, but it's briefly started as it focused on his past with his past PC as Sora.
Webcomic is now currently on .hack//arc event which now entered the possibility of the upcoming for the final chapter of G.U. Begins second arc, and after next chapter, soon would entering the third arc of the G.U. Begins, which is ROOTS event Arc.
As the story is focused on Ryou Misaki's past within two PC he had played, Sora and Haseo, while the two arcs starring as Sora during his PK days and afterwards which is retell SIGN and .hack in his point-of view storyline, while Haseo would told the story what happens during the event ROOTS as it retell it's story from the anime in new ways to be told.
Players can now be able to experience the past stories and past events that focuses on him as the main protagonist in .hack//G.U. Begins which allows you to experience it's connection ties-in to .hack//G.U. storyline. This web comic will be a weekly release, which fans can be able to enjoy through progression of the story in every week until .hack//G.U. Last Recode release on Nintendo Switch at March 11, 2022. The regular day chapter update would be on Thursday at 10:00 PM in Japan Time.
The official chapter would be release on @dothackofficial, while the English version translation would be release by Bandai Namco SEA (Asia).
